AThe transparency is what I like, I wanted to experiment more with that. That’s why I’ve put dried flowers between two layers of transparent sticky plastic, held in front of the light. Things you otherwise wouldn’t easily have seen, turned visible.

These flowers have been drying since I was a little girl at 10 years old. This project is some kind of homage to my childhood, to when I was always outside, wandering through the trees and meadows, in a search for plants and flowers for my herbarium.

Whilst I was so busy with the flowers, the idea to press flowers in clay and to bake and glaze them appeared to me.

The most fun part was when the glazed pieces were revealed from the kiln. Glaze always chages so much after it’s baked!
It’s a fantastic proces.
