All that’s left

I wanted to bring all of the pages that I have extracted from the old book, and where I’ve painted on, into one piece of work. I think it’s okay that these papers do not stay with their installation but end up together.

I started off very differently. I’ve looked at the work from afar, but I also zoomed in a lot. When I did, I noticed that I was very inclined to look closely at the drawings that were already on the pages.

In addition to the photos I made, I also started filming. Something I’ve not done very often with my work so far. I usually take photos. As I take the photos and videos I get closer to my work, which sometimes makes things stand out that I otherwise wouldn’t have seen.
